Tax Time Help and so much more!

The Stewardship Services Foundation provides help for pastors and churches as they deal with compensation issues and completion of tax forms. They will even complete a pastor’s tax return for free! A very helpful booklet is available as a free down load from their website. A link is available on our website (click here). In addition to the booklet, their website is filled with information regarding pastoral compensation issues.

Christian Ministry Resources publishes an annual guide entitled Compensation Handbook for Church Staff. This guide breaks down compensation according to Ministry Position, Church Size, Community, and much more. Our website includes a link to their information.

By the way, the IRS mileage rate for 2007 is 48.5 cents for business miles driven (up 4 cents from last year), and 14 cents per mile driven in service to a charitable organization.

New Car Fund

CB Mission Northeast’s 2000 Chevy Impala has served us well. It’s still chugging along with over 230,000 miles. This past week it provided transportation to three pastors’ clusters – Cape Cod, Boston, and Buffalo. Our mechanic warns some major repairs may be ahead if we don’t trade it in soon. Please consider taking a special offering to help replace the ministry car with a safe and dependable vehicle. Please be sure to mark your gift “car fund” when you send it to CB Mission Northeast, PO Box 441, Nassau, NY 12123.

Remember to forward Leader to Leader on to your leaders or better
yet, sign them up
to receive it themselves!
