Grateful for New Churches!

All of the new churches received into membership at our Annual Meeting this year were represented by their pastor. Pastor Len MacPhee (unavailable for the photo) of Rangeley Free Baptist Church, Rangeley, Maine attended our Come Together with his wife Ruth. The First Baptist Church of Cobleskill, NY was represented by Pastor Ken Sisson and his wife Jan. George McKnight is the pastor of New Way Christian Faith Center in Greece, NY. We are grateful for the enthusiastic support of these

new churches and their partnership with us in the ministry of reaching the Northeast for Christ.

President Bert Vitaliz, Pastor Ken Sisson,

Pastor George McKnight,

Executive Director Randy Keeley

Grateful for Chaplains!

Chaplains in all ministries have the wonderful opportunity to share their faith. One of our CB chaplains who should make it home just in time for Christmas is Lyn Brown. Lyn is finishing his second tour of Iraq. He serves in the Army Reserves and is the librarian at Bethel East. He recently had the opportunity to baptize five men from the Kansas Army National Guard who were getting ready to return home and wanted to be baptized

in Iraq. Pray for our Chaplains in Iraq and Afghanistan and their families at home. Read more on our website: www.MissionNortheast.org.

Grateful for Old Faithful!

The CBMNE ministry automobile has faithfully served us for the past six years. It is a 2000 Chevrolet Impala with almost 230,000 miles. Recognizing the need for a dependable vehicle (only missed 1 meeting so far) the Executive Board has established a car fund. Your generous help will be gratefully appreciated. Please make checks payable to CB Mission Northeast and send to PO Box 441, Nassau, NY 12123. Please note “car fund” on the memo line.

A Flood of Gratitude!

From Pastor Brian Cutting, Unadilla Baptist Church, Unadilla, NY

On June 28th the communities along the river in Central NY learned the devastating effects of flooding. Our church & parsonage were filled about ¾ full of flood water. But by the grace of God we are learning no flood is too big for Him. God has supported us in the midst of this trial & provided for us a flood of blessings. The larger body of Christ has rallied behind us & helped us accomplish far more than we could ever have done alone.

Churches both inside & outside our CB fellowship have helped us. Our congregation has worked hard, pumping out, gutting & rebuilding our church basement which included our bathrooms, nursery, kitchen, heating system & fellowship space. Not only was the space ruined but most of the items in the space where thrown away.

We are so thankful that God has provided for us at every step of this effort. We did not have the financial resources to handle the devastation but God has sent us a flood of blessing & support in response to our trial. To God be the Glory!

From Pastor Ken Southworth, First Baptist Church, Sidney, NY

We thank the Lord as He has worked in the hearts of His people to send us so much aid in our time of need. So many have come alongside us with their physical labors; shoveling muck, carrying out debris and tearing down walls. Many more have faithfully prayed & given financially to help us in the great cost of repair & rebuilding. We praise the Lord & thank everyone that shared our burden.

CBMNE churches have sent thousands of dollars & much help to these 2 churches. See more info on CBMNE’s website.

We have some electrical work in the church to be done & are waiting for bids from contractors. We are also waiting for drawings from our architect for our basement to put it back together in a way to best utilize our space. We see this as a God given opportunity to rebuild better than before! Due to the enormous cost of the electrical work, the classroom walls, floors & ceilings & the complete kitchen facility; we are anticipating at least a two phase project. However our Lord has shown Himself mighty on our behalf & we continue to be humbled & amazed at all that He is doing for us!
