Create a New Life Cycle

Jesus declared, I will build my church and the gates of hell are powerless to stop it. Throughout Scripture we see that God uses leaders to accomplish His work.

In a day of widespread church decline in America, the church is in desperate need of leaders who transform their churches with character, credibility, and competence.

Creating a New Life Cycle for a Church requires transforming leaders who…

  • Know Christ’s Mission and engage their church in His mandate to make disciples.
  • Know Biblical Leadership and embrace a servant model to guide their church.
  • Know their Church’s Life Cycle and create a new cycle for growth or turnaround.
  • Know their Community and focus their church outwardly with proactive steps to reach them for Christ.

Why? It’s not just the constant question that inquisitive preschoolers need to ask, it is a question we all need to ask regularly. In a class lecture at Moody Grad School, Dr. Lloyd Perry said that if he ever was a pastor of a church again he would raise a banner across the sanctuary with this one word question on it: Why? He went on to explain that failing to ask this question regularly causes us to drift from our mission and the reason the Lord has us here.

The same is true for an association of churches. In recent years we have been asking this question more regularly, and this is a good thing when it causes us to reflect on the mission God has given to us. When we return to the mission and vision that God has given to us and focus on the relationships He will use to help us accomplish it, we gain the opportunity to spark a new life cycle and become more fruitful in our service to Christ.

Absentee Ballots for the Annual Meeting 2010

PDF

Absentee Ballots are available for churches unable to send messengers to our Annual Meeting on November 16th. At this year's meeting we will be voting on the CBMNE Executive Board's recommendation to adopt the Proposed Bylaws, Draft Two, June 2010. Because of the importance of this decision we strongly encourage all of our member churches to participate via Absentee Ballots if they are unable to send representatives to the meeting.

A list of a church's Official Messengers must be submitted to CBMNE (see Official Messengers) and only Official Messengers of the church may vote on bylaw revisions. Absentee Ballots must be received prior to the vote at the Annual Meeting to be counted towards the quorum of the meeting.

Absentee Ballots may be completed online by Official Messengers by clicking here (quickest and preferred method)

Absentee Ballots may also be downloaded as a pdf file and sent via email, fax, or mail by clicking here.

The Annual Meeting is just around the corner, November 15 and 16 (see Annual Meeting). Because we are voting on the adoption of new bylaws, it is important that proper procedures are followed. Our bylaws indicate that a list of Official Messengers is required to vote on the proposed bylaws. Each church has representation according to the size of their membership. The messengers for each church are appointed by the governing board of the church or as otherwise specified in church's bylaws. An official list of messengers needs to be completed and submitted to CBMNE by the pastor or other church officer. This list may be completed online using the link below or by downloading the form provided below and sending it the CBMNE.
